Freaky in Fresno: Dream Cast

This is my dream cast for Freaky in Fresno which I'm so excited to share with you guys!!!

Vanessa Marano as Rikki
(I watched her show, Switched at Birth, and I think she will be the perfect fit as Rikki. I imagined Rikki as a girl with brown hair who likes to wear comfortable clothes.)

G Hannelius as Lana
(G Hannelius would be the perfect fit as Lana because this is pretty much how I imagined Lana in my head but with a lot of pink. G looks like a fashion-loving girl in this picture but super sweet that you want to be friends with her.)

Joe Kerry as Erik
(Joe is really gorgeous and I love his hair. But other than that I think he would be a great actor as Erik because I can see him as a person who loves to do pranks for his YouTube videos.)

Dylan O'Brien as Jake
(I can totally see Jake as a cute nerd who has a crush on Rikki and loves to dress up all movie-themed.)

Freaky in Friday: Review

Rating: 3/5 stars

A book about two girls who were close but separated. Their bodies are switched and they must work together in order to be back to who they were.

This was a cute, simple read. It was very enjoyable and really fun to read. I enjoyed the story of how the girls, Ricki and Lana, weren't close together in a relationship as before but after the body switched their lives changed. The author wrote this story well and everything was organized. Even though I read this switch a roo multiple times it wasn't a fresh new read. I did like how the main symbol was the pink car and how it brought all of the girls from the family together. Another part of the book I loved was how Ricki and Lana's boyfriends supported them so much throughout the book which was really cute. The background story of Lana was a good turn over of why she started her YouTube account because of her mom and how Ricki is saving her drive-in theater was also different then what I have read before. I did wish there was more to it but other then that this was a cute read.

Freaky in Fresno: Welcome Post

Freaky in Fresno by Laurie Boyle Crompton
Publisher: Blink
Genre: YA Fiction
Age: 13+

Summary:
Ricki has one goal: save the Starlight Drive-in movie theater from going dark forever. Okay, make that two goals … she may also want a first kiss from her cinema-rescuing partner and major crush, Jake. Lana definitely has only one goal: grow her online makeup channel to keep her momager off her back, even if the posts attract ugly internet trolls.

The two cousins couldn’t be more different, but their opposite personalities come crashing to a head when their aunt gifts the girls a vintage cotton-candy-pink convertible. To share. Ricki wants the convertible for the drive-in’s grand reopening, but it’s the same day as Digifest, a huge event where Lana needs to shine. After a major fight and a minor electric shock while wrestling over the wheel, Ricki wakes up as Lana, and Lana wakes up as Ricki.

Ricki and Lana have only a day to un-Freaky Friday themselves, a task made even more difficult as they try to keep up appearances on Lana’s channel and with Ricki’s hopefully-soon-to-be-kissed crush. But it turns out experiencing a day as each other—with a mini road trip and Chihuahua wrangling—may be the one thing that help the cousins see each other and themselves more clearly.
