About the book:

1. How did you come up with the story, Girl From Nowhere?

In so many ways, Sophia Hepworth, the main character, has always been in my head! But the pinpoint was once, during a summer in Taiwan, I was lost and as my imagination spiraled, I thought: if I was lost, and running from someone, who would be chasing me, and how would I get away? GIRL FROM NOWHERE evolved from there! 

2. What part of the book was the hardest to write? The beginning, the middle or the end?

The middle! So much has to happen to bridge the gap between the beginning and end, and the worst part of reading is that lull in the middle! I didn’t want that.

3. What was your favorite scene from Girl From Nowhere without spoiling?

Oooh hard choice, two scenes were my favorites and they both have to do with water!

4. Who is your favorite character from Girl From Nowhere and why?

Mary Hepworth!

Mrs. Bernhardt because she teaches art history!! 

3. What are some of your favorite tv shows and movies? 

Admittedly, I’ve watched hundreds of Friends reruns during the foggy baby-feeding years so it tops my list! But I recently binged Schitts Creek and loved it!!

4. If you could have dinner with any 3 people (fictional, real or dead), who would it be? 

Serena Williams, Kate Middleton and Melinda Gates.

 

5. What do you like to do when you are not writing? 

Play with my daughters! 

Girl From Nowhere: Review

Rating: 5/5 stars

Review:  I was hooked with this book from page one! This was such an amazing read that had fluffy romance and a mystery to it. This book is about Sophia who's parents are diplomat who moves to Montana to start a normal life after running so many years abroad. Sophia meets a cute boy named, Aksel, but the past starts catching up with her and she doesn't know if she will have to leave her normal life behind again. You're probably like okay should I read this book after reading the short summary and my answer is YES! I loved the author's writing and she packed an amazing adventure into this novel. The pacing was fast which was perfect for this book. The author answered all of the questions in this book which most don't. But not only the writing and plot were amazing but also the characters.

Sophia is the main character in this story who learned how to be a spy from day one. Sophia is a brave character who wants to make friends and have a normal teenage life. That doesn't happen because she meets Aksel who let me say it is just amazing! I made a new book boyfriend in this book because Aksel just swooned me. There were plot twists for the family which you will have to find out when you read the book! I can't spoil it for you! I can say that it was easy to connect with these characters and seeing the romance build-up throughout the book.

This book had a lot of plot twists that you won't get bored of. It keeps you on your feet while you are reading this book because you just don't know what is about to happen. This book was kind of split into three parts which were the past life of Sophie, the new life of Sophie, and her past catching up a story which is all blended in smoothly. This book is for fans who would love to read about a 16-year-old female spy protagonist that goes on many adventures and see her fall in love.
