You're Next: Review

Rating: 3/5 stars
Review: This was a good thriller/mystery book which I enjoyed. It's about a girl named, Flora, who loves to investigate. She discovers that her ex-girlfriend was murdered and starts to investigate who killed her so she can bring justice. This LGBTQ+ book was mysterious and kept you on the ride. The murdered I kind of detected halfway through the book though but it was still enjoyable. The reason I didn't give it 5 stars was that the book was a little too long then it was supposed to be and the ending just left on a kind of confusing cliffhanger. Both of these things dropped it to 3 stars.

I did enjoy the character, Flora, and felt connected to her. I loved how she was brave and would risk her life trying to find out who killed her ex-girlfriend. Also, there was some romance in this book but not a major theme of the story. I love how the author wrote amazing supporting characters like Flora's grandfather, sister, and best friend that helps her uncover the mystery.

This book was enjoyable but my only problem was with the book being a little too long then it should have been and with the cliffhanger ending. Overall I did enjoy the book and recommend it to those who love thriller/mystery books.
