About the Book:
1. How did you get the idea of writing Foul is Fair?
For a very long time, I’ve wanted to write a story that subverts the expected narrative of a sexual assault survivor. FOUL IS FAIR centers a girl who seizes her power back by any means necessary. She isn’t a “good girl,” she doesn’t do what she “should” do, and she absolutely never apologizes.

2. Which of the girls are you more similar to?
There are pieces of me in each of them. I relate to Jade the most: her ambition, her confidence, and her willingness to use unconventional means to achieve what she wants. (But I promise I’m not a killer.)

3. What chapter was the easiest to write?
There are several scenes where the coven--Jade and her best friends Mads, Jenny, and Summer--are hanging out having quieter moments between the “action scenes.” Those scenes flowed well for me because they’re all about the strength of sisterhood, and the dynamics drew quite a bit from my real-life female friendships.

4. What is the key message in this book?
That’s up to the reader to decide!

5. The main character, Jade, wants revenge in a bloody way. Was this character easy to write?
Yes and no! Writing Jade was empowering (and fun, tbh), but also draining because of the intensity of the story and its themes.

6. How did you design the cover?
I didn’t! The very talented Olga Grlic designed it, and Ada Buchholc did the gorgeous art. I love what they created!

7. Where can readers purchase your books?
FOUL IS FAIR and my debut, THE DEAD QUEENS CLUB, are both available through any US, CA, UK, or Commonwealth bookseller: local indies, Barnes & Noble, Waterstones, and online retailers. Readers outside these countries can purchase through Book Depository.

What is your favorite mystery book(s)?
No one writes a mystery like Agatha Christie.

2. If you had a choice to move, where would you go?
My two favorite cities are Mombasa and Rio, and I could spend months in either (or both)!

3. What are some of your favorite things to do?
I love anything social--going out with friends, exploring new places, meeting new people. I love to dance, too, whether it’s ballet in a class setting or salsa at a club. I also really enjoy sailing and rowing.

4. When did you realize you want to be an author?
I’ve wanted to be a writer for as long as I’ve understood what writing is.

5. What is your writing schedule like?
Chaos. And I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Review: 
The Heathers meets Cruel Intentions and Macbeth.
I really liked this book. It talked about a girl who was getting her justice after being raped. The main character and her best friends killed boys that were involved. So it's kind of like a murder mystery but the reader knows what is going on. Even though there was some sensitive stuff in this book, it was still amazing. I really enjoyed the characters and felt connected to them. The plot structure was well written and didn't miss a beat. The author's writing was enjoyable to read and had strong, powerful imagery. I loved how she made the main character a brave girl getting her justice and finding love on the way. This book was really enjoyable to read and I recommend it.
WHY YOU SHOULD READ IT:
1. The main character is a brave, strong girl named Jade who fights for her revenge.
2. Murder is involved so kind of like Riverdale but you know who the murderer is.
3. I'm pretty sure this book will turn into a movie soon because it's amazing.
4. I read this in about 2-3 days which means it's good and binge-worthy.

5. I'm 99% sure you will enjoy it.
