The Electric Heir: Why You should Read This

You should read The Electric Heir because...
1. If you read the first book, then you know you have to read the finale.
2. You can see the amazing Dara and Noam scenes in the book!
3. Dara is more sarcastic than ever.
4. The world-building is so much better and every page is something new so it's hard to stop reading.
5. New characters are mentioned and they are the best side characters.
6. There aren't many good LGBT+ stories that are written like this one.
7. Also, someone could have died and someone probably didn't die. Read this book to know what happens!

The Electric Heir: Review

Rating: 4/5 stars
Review:
*This book was given to me by the publisher to give an honest review in return*

This book was so much better than book 1! I felt more attached to the characters and getting POVs from both the main characters were amazing. I love how the author wrote Noam and Dara's relationship because they connected and knew what each of them was going through. The plot structure was well written and I love the world-building in this book more than the first. The settings would be described very detailedly and you could imagine it clearly in the head. The author also added some notes about Calix like doctor reports and interviews.

Dara is my favorite character because I love his sarcasm which reminds me of Jace from The Mortal Instruments. In this book, he develops a lot more and is more caring than before. He develops some friendships which is amazing because it's kind of like Damon and Bonnie from The Vampire Diaries which was so cute. My favorite scene from this book is the last interview and you will know why when you read this book.

This book does talk about rape and readers need to understand it before they read this book. This book is intense I recommend more older kids read it. This book is recommended to YA Sci-Fi readers who love LGTB+ books!
(This book mentions rape, Jewish mcs, eating disorder, LGTB+, and abuse)

The Electric Heir: Welcome Post

The Electric Heir by Victoria Lee (sequel to The Fever King)
Publisher: Skyscape
Genre: YA Dystopian
Age: 15-16+

Summary:
(This book mentions rape, eating disorder, LGTB+, and abuse)
Six months after Noam Álvaro helped overthrow the despotic government of Carolinia, the Atlantians have gained citizenship, and Lehrer is chancellor. But despite Lehrer’s image as a progressive humanitarian leader, Noam has finally remembered the truth that Lehrer forced him to forget—that Lehrer is responsible for the deadly magic infection that ravaged Carolinia.

Now that Noam remembers the full extent of Lehrer’s crimes, he’s determined to use his influence with Lehrer to bring him down for good. If Lehrer realizes Noam has evaded his control—and that Noam is plotting against him—Noam’s dead. So he must keep playing the role of Lehrer’s protégé until he can steal enough vaccine to stop the virus.

Meanwhile Dara Shirazi returns to Carolinia, his magic stripped by the same vaccine that saved his life. But Dara’s attempts to ally himself with Noam prove that their methods for defeating Lehrer are violently misaligned. Dara fears Noam has only gotten himself more deeply entangled in Lehrer’s web. Sooner or later, playing double agent might cost Noam his life. (Goodreads)

About the Author:
Victoria Lee grew up in Durham, North Carolina, where she spent twelve ascetic years as a vegetarian before discovering spicy chicken wings are, in fact, a delicacy. She’s been a state finalist competitive pianist, a hitchhiker, a pizza connoisseur, an EMT, an expat in China and Sweden, and a science doctoral student. She’s also a bit of a snob about fancy whisky.

Victoria writes early in the morning, then spends the rest of the day trying to impress her border collie puppy and make her experiments work. (Goodreads)
