Forest of Souls: Review

Rating: 4/5 stars
Review: For fans of Throne of Glass, I think you will enjoy this one!

This book was enjoyable to read because of the different world-building with new powerful people. I'm happy that the author provided a glossary and all because I would have been clueless with the names without it. I did wish there was a map to this book because the amount of traveling the characters do in this book makes you want a map to see where they go. The author's writing was wonderful and this book was fast-paced. Though the fast pacing at the end was rushed and didn't last too long. There were some places where I was confused at but it was easy to get back.

The characters were enjoyable to read and Sirscha reminds me of Aelin from Throne of Glass. This is because she doesn't have parents, she has magic powers that she didn't really know about, and fights which really reminded me of Aelin. I did with this book talked more about Sirscha learning her powers because her powers would should up whenever she needed them. This book didn't have any type of romance in it but I think there will be in the second book which I'm really excited about. I did enjoy the best friend relationship between Saengo and Sirscha. Saengo dies in the book which isn't a spoiler and becomes a kind of like a parabatai (shadowhunter word) to Sirscha. I enjoyed this book and recommend this to Throne of Glass lovers and fantasy lovers.
